ABOUT ME

For recreation, I play golf. I am a purist - I walk unless prohibited by the course, and I don't play that type of course often.

For my job - I travel about 30 weeks a year - typically out on Sunday, back on Friday. Mostly US, but international once in a while.

I have been to every country in western Europe, except Ireland. Just made Africa (Morocco), a few countries in South America and Asia.

PHILOSOPHY

Very much like golf - play the ball as it lies. In life - enjoy today and make the best of it. Tomorrow will probably be a lot like today.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Because of my travel, I can't offer a couch very well. I am hoping to just get together with other people who enjoy travel, and share a dring or dinner.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests

When on vacation, I like to hike/trek. A few museums are OK, and visiting the major city of a new country is OK, but I like to get out in the country side.

Even in a city in a new country, will just walk the streets for hours every evening.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

So hard to cut down to one, but I love national parks:
Yosemite and Grand Canyone in US.
Plitvice in Crotia (I think - it was in Slovenia when I visited)
Iguazu Falls in Brazil
Leaping Tiger Gorge in China

Teach, Learn, Share

I guess I could help someone with English very well, as I have learned a few languages.

I have mentored children in mathematics and science, so could probably do that as well.
