I think i cannot miss meeting people like him in Ahmedabad. It's been a pleasure

the organizer of the trip... adventurous, daring, friendly, witty, uber-cool, loves biking.. game to try anything new.. got a fine eye for details.. a good planner.. someone who puts his heart n soul in wot he does..u rock dude.. hope we can have another trip before he goes back to the States...

 

Me and Alex first met on a decommissioned naval base in Alameda California through our friend Star.

The three of us explored an abandoned village on the base and found a squatters paradise (one of the houses we made it into still had running water).

We have met once on the East coast when Alex & Co. crashed at my place in Brooklyn for the night.

He is a great person who is fiercely intelligent and will make any couchsurfing experience memorable.

 

What a positive & energetic person he is. Had a wonderful time meeting him couple of times in Ahmedabad. Always smiling.

He made local CS community more happening with his presence. He taught us the new sport "Slacklining" during our Law Garden meet & he is also leading a first CS trip to Abu.

You rocks man, keep it up...

Remember meeting Alex in Ahmedabad over an evening coffee. It followed up with couple of CS gatherings and then the ever memorable Mt. Abu bike trip happened. Got to know this guy a little more better. He exuberates energy, comes up with real crazy ideas out of the blue, has very pertinent thoughts about life and to say the least he's a real doer. Have met very few people like you Alex, you are truly unique. :)

You will never be bored if you hang out with Alex!

Nice guy....fun loving...full of vigour and the best part i felt was his desire to share...taught us slackling..we had a good time.

Alex taught a group of like 20 of us slacklining one hot and humid Ahmedabad night. He couldn't have made it more fun! Awesome fun dude.

In the short time we hung out, Alex left a lasting impression on me given his great sense of humor about himself and about everything around him, his confidence, his desire for adventure, and his attitude towards learning new things. He is such a unique person... and just a REALLY COOL DUDE. I am really looking forward to hanging out again!

 

It was a great experiance chatting with Alex and learning Slackling with him during Law Garden CS Meet. He gets along very well with everybody and gets talking really fast. He has travelled a lot and has great tales to tell. Don't miss a chance to host him. Looking forward to meeting him again.

 

Alex is such an amazing guest to have. He has a great sense of humor, and is always game for having a good time. His passion to travel and work at various countries around the World is truly admirable. He taught us to slackline, came for a BangCS house party, and also joined us for the Bengaluru Pride parade!

Alex is among the most exciting people in the world. He's always up to something, quite possibly up for anything, and definitely worth knowing.

He was my second couchsurfer, or better, he came with Inês, and they together were my first! He is a very funny person, a “crazy inventor” (my father and I really want to see something made by him, he let us very curious). He taught me how to say MASELTOF (I don’t know how to write), and I show him the capivaras too. I hope see you and Inês again, You are both nice people!

I hosted him one day at my house, unfortunataly he was with no time, only sleept and go away on the next day.

Alex appeared with a jug of Carlo Rossi and a genuine passion for life. In exchange we observed gaudy holiday lights, cycled in the cold, and numbed our brains with simple movies. Good times were had, and would gladly host again.

 

Alex and I tinkered in a workshop together with some bikes....

 

Alex and his friend Heather were wonderful people to host - had I not a busy schedule for work I would love to have stayed up later to show them how fun Providence can be - - hopefully see you guys in Cambridge in the not to distant future!

 

CouchSufing's crème de la crème!! Met at the Library Bar, shared some Chimay (best beer ever), dropped a Land Surfer on the 210, flew kites on a dry lake bed, trolleyed to the Griffith Observatory, shared unlawful waffle non-awful falafels, gelechtered at a Jewish comedy show, animated astronauts with no arms, picnicked at the Rose Bowl, Lindy Hopped with Masonics, techno-ed with rainbows, dined on fine dumpster pudding, played silly drawing games, and shared custody of lovely Couchsurfers at his place! lolol In return he drank my Slimfast, showered me in glass shards, broke into my house and stole my heart! He's a once in a lifetime kind of man. Meet him and FEEL ALIVE - You'll see! L.A. won't be as beautiful without you! :(

 

alex is...how shall we say...a fascinating individual. and of course by fascinating i mean awesome. he's up for anything, and makes everything fun. as far as i can tell, he's about 26 times smarter than me, which is why i enjoyed ripping his jokes to shreds whenever possible. gotta save the self-esteem somehow. he's full of entertaining stories and tidbits, and was a delightful host and boston city guide. riding in his car is like a journey of discovery all its own...absurd berenstain bears jokes, bob's big boy bobbleheads, you name it. robots have some amazing company in alex.

Alex is landrollering, paragliding, and designing steam turbine generator systems powered by the sun... he's living his dream, and it's a beautiful one!

WHOA!! At the first encounter, his warmth and openness is evident. Alex's life is the chronicles of Narnia! Full of energy, life, ideas, magic and debauchery! He is a cool MOFO people MEET HIMMM and HOST him and feed him!! Definitely the strawberry Starburst!! Sorry for kicking your ass in wrestling! Its such a shame not to meet this kid. You got a friend here for life bro

 

Met climbing in J-Tree, he played guitar, fun and brilliant guy.

rooftops, newspaper plants, grass murals, risotto, bikes. really, alex is gold.

Really liked kicking it with Alex. He's warm, full of energy and pizazz, and a generous host. He was even a good sport after we conned him (yes, a vegetarian) into meeting us at a Korean BBQ carnivore's extravaganza! Take care, Alex! We wish you the best of luck as you solve our nation's energy crisis and save the world :)

Alex, cheers for letting me crash at yours and being a gracious host. Anybody reading this it is the same as the other references this guy is a reason couch surfing is a great community. Sorry it was so short lived and I hope you have a great time travelling this summer. Wish you all the best and hope you manage to become a mutli-gazillionaire.

never turn down the oppurtunity to surf/host/surf with this man! i had the best time while with him. He is goofy, intelligent, and very adventurous. oh yeah, and spontaneous. he also helped me accomplish a major goal for me, which was to learn to weld. it meant a lot.
i sincerely hope i have the chance to host him and his girlie on their roadtrip this summer in Chicago.

alex is a great host. he'll teach you things you never knew about dumpster diving. it'll change your life.

 

We fertilized the rough streets of LA, sipped pale ales, and ended up at one of downtown's more interesting establishments. In all, a great few days, made even better by the fact that I brought him together with another local CSer. Shall we meet again in Boston?

 

Alex is fantastic. Man has the healthiest relationship with the world I've ever seen.

Alex the most amazing, hospitable, unbelievably positive guy i've ever met. He single-handedly turned my road trip into a success, kudos to whoever/whatever is responsible for this caliber of person being able to exist. Hanging out with him is like experiencing a kerouac novel. He'll even sing to you while you shower! (i'm sure he would if you asked).

 

Alex is so many kinds of genius. He's bravely adventurous, wildly entertaining, deeply thoughtful, insatiably curious, and awesome company in general. He brought so much spice to our gang of campers and climbers, with his campfire guitar, encyclopedia of songs, and crazy stories! Alex, I hope we see you again for more SoCal adventures!

 

Alex you are a person full of life. We sincerely enjoyed meeting you and your friends. We hope our paths cross again one day.

Solid guy, offered me his place through an acquaintance at work when I just moved to town. Made me feel really welcome to a new area, turned out I didn't need the place but getting the offer really meant a lot.

Alex!!!! You have to say his name like that, he is that much fun. When a couchsurfer brings a bullwhip and tequila, you know the experience is going to be in the double digit points zone. I can't wait to jump up to La-La land and go dumpster diving with him! If you do not host this guy, your brain no workie good.

Alex is incredible! He is a genuine and thoughtful guy. When I hitched into L.A. he even came to pick me up. He showed me around town and helped me find places to busk. His inventions are mad tight and we talked about making a scratch and sniff record. This is one awesome dude.

We were in his house for 3nights and all the time we tried to do his best to make switch us in LA! Funny and awesome man!

wow! to meet Alex, a true modern day daVinvi(one of my heros) was a pleasure. finally a rocket scientist at my disposal to talk to about quantum physics, mechanics, and tea(yah i know random).
this guy is McGyver.

Yeah... Alex is pretty off-the-charts awesome. Like, I've been bragging that I met this guy. I want my sister to marry him. Wonderful, wonderful person.

I've always thought the world could use another inventor, alex just seems to be the one we may have all been looking for. keep up the inovation and change the world man!

He couchsurfed my futon in Montreal and he seemed to be a really trustworthy guy. Had a nice time showing him around the city. Great couchsurfer!
