ABOUT US and OUR JOURNEY:

"I BELIEVE THAT DREAMS CAN COME TRUE" is a community project, taken on by Tay and Val, with the intentions to:

* Spread the belief that dreams can come true
* Share stories of people's personal dreams
* Inspire dreams

As film-makers, our dream is to tell stories of love, life and hope; stories that inspire. This dream got lost amongst deadlines, budgets and expectations when we were working as full-time TV Producers/Directors. A chance encounter with an elderly gentleman, Luo Papa reminded us, "Once upon a time, we all had dreams..."

We made a decision to abandon our traditional TV business, sell everything we own and go collect people's dreams all over the world, on our bicycles. Using our skills in story-telling, we want to document stories of people taking that first step towards their dreams, people en route chasing their dreams, and people already living their dreams on videos, photos and writing; and then share these stories on our website - www.ibelievethatdreamscancometrue.com

Что привело меня на Couchsurfing

We believe that with every dream documented and shared on our website, someone somewhere on this earth watching the video will be inspired to take that first step towards his/her own dream. We intend to walk into fellow couch-surfers' lives and share their dreams, inspiring other couch-surfers, too.

Our Couchsurfing experience has been... Nothing less.

Because of Couchsurfing
Our project became feasible
We entered houses of strangers
And left as friends...sometimes, family

WATCH:
"Life is Beautiful" is Val's favorite-est, because it moved something within her - deeply. Generally, as film-makers, we try to be open about what we watch. Every frame is a learning moment, every story-teller with heart and soul needs to be honored :)

READ:
We gifted away shelves and shelves of books, and sold the rest of them away before this journey. It was painful... and then we met hosts who'd share their book collections with us. We've learnt that, "When we're ready to gift away all that we have, we can only receive more."

LISTEN:
We've had the honor to cross paths with music lovers and creators. In a way, that has shaped our love for "live", "hand-made" music. After all, music is what emotions sound like~
