About Me

Hi couchsurfers! My name is Tina, I'm 23 years old, born in Trieste and recently graduated in cultural anthropology at the University of Bologna.
About me, I could write one thing and the opposite but I think everyone can: coherence doesn't really belong to human life.

So, I'm a lazy adventurous person, a smiling grouch, a very pragmatic day-dreamer,
sceptic about certainty and a little bit too much a critical thinker.

Shy and curious. I like plain speaking and escapes from the comfort-zones.

Passionate reader of novels in a bad relation with technology. I usually prefer to get lost instead of using Gmaps, or to speak with my hands and gesture instead of using a translator - and I'm not sure it's a clever attitude..

Sometimes I'm amazed by things that are absolutely normal for most of the people. I love to get tired mentally (cultural shocks are amazing) and phisically: it gives me the feeling to have lived my days fully .
I like challenges and I can be a wild person:
I have absolutely no need for comforts and I'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty, I enjoy works on open air and I love to spend my time away from the cities (sometimes it turns to a need) so wwoof/workaway way of travelling is perfect for me,

but I also enjoy the city-life:
I can spend one whole day in a museum or just walking with no direction for hours (urban-hicking!),
I like to have parties (self-made party in the streets always better than big disco-clubs, in my opinion),
I like to dance even if I don't know how to dance, I like the smell of empty roads at night, while I'm walking with a beer in my hands.

When I'm in Bologna I like to spend my time in alternative/occupied spaces (in Italy they organize parties as well as dibates and various activities), so if you want to spend your time with me I will be happy to show you this kind of places. In Bologna I live my student-life day by day, and normally I go out at night.
[UPDATE may2019: just finished to write the thesis for my uni degree, the topic is the life of people who squat a big abandoned area in my city]

When I'm travelling I try, when it is possible, to avoid planes - because moving on the soil give me the opportunity to see different landscapes and to reach a fullier understanding of the country I'm visiting - and I love to meet locals - because I'm curious, and also careful in listening to people (it's not a coincidence that I'm studying anthropology).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

People fascinate me and i have a great hunger for life, opportunities, discoveries. It doesn't sound original, but the spirit of couchsurfing is great!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music - every kind of music: at the moment my relation with this kind of art can be sum up like this: "I don't search for music but music is all around me and so I can do nothing but enjoy it". Music is everywhere, and I'm a user ! I can dance everything in a funny way, from classical music to the ringtone of your phone, it helps me in putting out the energies in excess.
In order to give you an idea (generical, very generical) I can say that I like electronic music, tekno mainly, balkan music, sad italian songwriters, coumbia, punk, flamenco, nonsense music, crazy music, loud music.

Movies and books are my daily food. I'm an omnivorous reader of novels and I like indipendent cinema.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've taken photos of a small garden-gnome in more than 30 locations during my trips. Do you know where this idea comes from?

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you italian language and some italian recipes - even if I'm not much a cook, I know the very basics.

I would like to learn some photographic techniques, so if you are a good photographer I will be very happy to host you -and I can show you some good places to take pictures in the city-! If you are not, for sure I would love to take some pictures of you!

One more thing: I like to compare languages! Expect that I'll ask you something about yours!
