About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people, new places, new everything. It's the most interesting thing we can do I think, to meet and get to know other people and understand their cultures. And in the past four years of my travelling career, the best memories I've had have come from the crazy experiences with the people I've met from all around the world. It's so beautiful :)

Interests

Hiking, painting, travelling, FOOD (both cooking and trying new ones), reading, yoga, meditation, wildlife, exploring, photography, exercise, latin dancing, latin music, all music really, and on and on. Also have come to realize surfing is terrifying so now it's on to skiing. Plus I live in a winter country now so let's see how that goes ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

Can't seem to remember any movies after I've watched them but the only one that has stuck out to me is Barfi. For those of you who haven't seen it, look it up because it's great. And don't judge beforehand just because it's Bollywood...haven't met a person yet who hasn't liked it :P

Too many good books to choose from and maybe I need to read a little bit more but if I had to choose, I would say "To Kill A Mockingbird," "We Need to Talk About Kevin," "Frankenstein," and "The Ebony Tower" are some of the ones that have left me with the biggest impressions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stayed with a group of Bedouins in the middle of the Israeli desert

Hiked in the middle of the night up to the highest mountain in the Indian Ocean without a flashlight 🙈

Volunteered with an amazing organization called AHAH in Peru, Nepal, and Texas. We were living in tents for months with 60-100 people at a time from all over the world while rebuilding primary schools in disaster-hit areas. One of the top three experiences of my life for sure.

Floating in the Dead Sea (It's the closest most of us will ever come to feeling as if we've been to Space! Must do, it's so cool!)

Read the entire 7th Harry Potter book in one day :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

Am currently living in a dorm room in Tartu so not too much along the housing lines unless you;re comfortable with floors. Otherwise would love to go out and enjoy the nightlife in Tartu. It's rather limited but you can always find something to do if you're creative enough :P
