About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Stumbling across Asia

ABOUT ME

After working in the Hollywood film business for 5 years and turning 26, I realized there would never be a better time in my life to travel long term. I weighed out everything going on in my life and realized now was the time to live a dream I've had for some time. I left my good job and bought a one way ticket to Singapore. I'm incredibly blessed to be able to do what I have done and have the support of coworkers, family and friends.

I'm a very outgoing and social person. I LOVE good food. (Very adventurous eater too, please challenge me to weird bugs/meals involving fish heads), museums, temples, hiking, nature, clubs, movies, concerts....big cities to rural nature...love it all.

PHILOSOPHY

I could go on and on, but it all comes down to this:

treat others well and you'll be treated well in return.

I'm not at all a religious person but I believe we share energies in how we interact with people in our lives. It all comes down to Karma.

I also fully believe in the power of traveling. To experience a different culture and see life through a unique pair of eyes is beyond a fun holiday. It's so greatly important to realize how connected we all are in this world and that whatever issues we struggle with currently are nothing compared to the hardships faced by so many. My experiences traveling has kept me humble and in my opinion has made me a stronger, smarter and better person.

A few of my favorite quotes:

Half the fun of the travel is the esthetic of lostness. ~Ray Bradbury

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. ~Mark Twain
"We know we will no longer suffer the indignity of watching a president unable to speak in public and incapable of understanding-and uninterested in- the world around him" - Marc Cooper, LA Weekly

The Edge... there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over.
---Hunter S. THompson

This CGI bullshit is the death knell of cinema. If I'd wanted all that computer game bullshit, I'd have stuck my dick in a Nintendo.”
---Quentin Tarintino

"Make my funk the P funk"
---George Clinton

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Unfortunately, I am unable to offer a couch/bed at this time, as I am traveling long term throughout Asia. However, I would be more than happy to offer tips on a trip to Los Angeles. It's a great city and hopefully you would love it too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed throughout Indonesia and had an amazing experience. So many new friends and wonderful experiences I wouldn't have had if not for CS. I've met many people in group meetups and really enjoyed my time and made many new friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Eating a cobra, a tarantula, a cow heart, a pig's ear and a giant cockroach all within a month is pretty amazing, I guess.

I won a break dancing competition on a cruise ship when I was 10 years old. I won a travel size Scrabble game.

Sunrise over Angkor Wat is probably one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. Sunset over Bagan temples is another.
