About Me

CURRENT MISSION

For a number of years now I've been unshackled from the office. I relish my freedom to travel as a freelancer. Everyday I am grateful for the opportunity to explore new places and meet new people! ☺️

If you want to visit national parks in the region/need a travel/camping friend, please let me know! I'm always eager to show visitors Death Valley National Park and Great Basin National Park, among others. We can take my car/use my tent!

If you want to venture to LA, Flagstaff, or other cities in the West, also hit me up! I'm always down for road trips! I'm obsessed with LA!

PLEASE READ: For me, hosting people is my way of spreading love around the world!🖤 It is a real joy to show a visitor a small slice of my adopted hometown.
The true spirit of Couchsurfing is about building friendships and community across the globe. If you are solely looking for a free place to stay, and do not want to connect with locals, please look elsewhere!

*Also, do you never offer to chip in for gas or offer a meal in return for your host's time and hospitality when they show you all around the city and desert for three days? I recently picked up someone from the airport, drove them through the desert to Valley of Fire for a day of sightseeing and then dropped them off on The Strip and no offer was ever extended. Kindness and gratitude are currencies with me. Does this sound like you? Are you entitled? Then please, please don't request me.

Also, I recently found out a Couchsurfer I hosted is anti-Semitic. I'm Jewish and genderqueer/non-binary. Please, don't request me if you are racist, anti-Semitic, homophobic, etc.

I'm truly sorry I have to say the above.

ABOUT ME

I am a warm, free-spirited person seeking to squeeze the most fun out of a meaningful life.

I'm a former journalist and Congressional aide. I currently work for a non-profit. At heart, I'm a writer and musician.

PHILOSOPHY

Non-judgmental, open to adventure. Journey, not the destination. See the best in everyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first was during a cross-country road trip with my then girlfriend. The generosity of spirit of each host I have stayed with continues to astound me.

Interests

Concerts, karaoke, dancing, bars, food, ghost towns, history, reading, writing, hiking, national and state parks, camping, exploring new places, meeting new people.

I'm a classically-trained pianist. I'm also obsessed with 1980s music - glam metal, new wave, etc. On weekends, you're likely to find me karaokeing, dancing or rocking out at concerts.🖤🤘

A meal, some drinks and hopefully at least a few laughs!
