Travel, languages, culture, music, film, art, food, swimming, running, skiing, baseball, history, meeting new people...

I am very passionate about travel, culture, and especially languages. I am fluent in English and French and I am slowly chipping away at Spanish, Portuguese, German and Italian. I love hearing different accents and different languages and thinking about how they evolved into the way they are today.

I find cultural differences fasinating. It's great when your preconceptions of a culture are completely turned on their heads - even though sometimes you do understand where these prejudices come from.

I love music, but I have recently become less of a fanatic as used to be. I can play saxophone and my skills at guitar and piano are alright...

History is another thing that interests me although I don't know very much of it. It's something I'm working on learning more about. (This is another reason why I'm going to Europe.)

I am not a huge sports fan nor am I an athlete, however I used to play baseball and soccer, and swim and ski when I was younger. I still try to do these things when time allows it.
