About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Enjoying Germany.

PHILOSOPHY

The main problem in the world is the lack of empathy. If everyone made the effort to see (just for a few seconds!) from behind the eyes of everyone else, this would be a better world.

Observing, thinking and moving forward are my favourite activities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I can show you the city where I live (or the surroundings) or help you somehow if you are planning to come to Paderborn.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I heard of CouchSurfing some years ago, when a friend told me that he had hosted some people in his apartment in Stockholm. That's when I found out what this is all about. But I haven't had any CouchSurfing experience besides knowing CouchSurfers.

Interests

Photographie (I have a set on Flickr: www.flickr.com/photos/defatto), literature, films, exploring new places (walking randomly when possible) and knowing people. And a bunch of geeky things like computers, software, electronics and RPGs. I wouldn't be able to live without music. My favourite genre is heavy metal, but I enjoy every song, tone or melody which makes me feel or remember something special. So I can't say that I enjoy every kind of music, but I can say that I am open to listen.

Music, Movies, and Books

To summarize I will say that my favourite film is Blade Runner, my favourite book is The Tin Drum (Die Blechtrommel) and my favourite kind of music is heavy metal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am not a person who likes amazing, risky activities such as diving, parachuting or bungee-jumping. But I feel easily amazed when I visit places. For me, one of the most amazing things I've ever done was visiting South Iceland (including watching the Aurora Borealis).

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn to play cello, but I think I am too old for that. So in the near future I would like to learn how to play the guitar. I can teach spanish, english and give tips about photographie. I am trying to improve my cooking skills, so I guess here I'm in both sides (learning and teaching).
