About Me

Hey there! I'm Abhi and originally from Canada but living around Cambridge at the moment. I enjoy working with wildlife/animals and am currently doing my PhD (2022 update: finished!) in plasma physics to help develop sustainable energy on Earth and beyond

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Life is too short to not be exploring. Both the theories of our universe and everything in it. And there's no better way to explore than with other enthusiastic persons who are similarly driven to see this world!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rehabilitated and released a raccoon back into the wild. Kayaked in a bioluminescent bay while it rained. Learned of the amplituhedron. Camped alone on an island in the Caribbean. Met a man in the desert who befriended a rattlesnake. Lived in a van with my best friend. Got chased by the secret police in Paris. Tried to build an ice igloo without snow. And all the amazing things yet to happen since one should never let the past stop us from making a difference today!

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach you calculus or bring you to an animal sanctuary. Up to try or discuss anything from volleyball to spontaneous road trips to bidets to argentine tango to effective altruism to history of our planet to practicing harmonicas to cooking recipes to white russians to the birth of stars. Been sailing for a short while and happy to hit the water together if you're in Boston! And always glad to share time
