About Me

AT THE MOMENT:
Traveling with my wife Fathma- The Chocolate Viking on FB. Just been doing viking events for the last month and a half around Scandinavia. Sweden & Denmark & Norway, oh my.
Roaming through Germany right now before we head home to Australia

WHEN AT HOME
I happily hobbit at home with my many housemates after being diagnosed with MS (long term and short term issues); playing different games and helping others when I can. Working in the disability field. Running or helping setup boardgame and hippy events. Also help with Framherr's vikingness when asked.

ABOUT ME

Helping others is my nature, be it via being a confidante, directing people places, physical work or any other way i can help.
I have a level of social anxiety/awkwardness at time. I usually yabber or go quiet if it affects me.
Openness is very important to me. I try to be as honest and open as I can be in all situations.
I make up stories all the time. Sometimes i remember to write them down.
Spirituality and science go together in my mind. Both equally make up who I am.

PHILOSOPHY

Smile, you are going to die anyway :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have traveled through Europe for 5 months by myself. I started in Spain for La Tomatina at hostels, Paris and have been staying with a friend I made through couch surfing. Went to Berlin- CSers to the rescue. Also Cardiff was great for CSers; had some help in Scotland too.
I've helping people with crash space for many a year

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I started hosting people many years ago. Sometimes through couchsurfing, sometimes viking reenactors, sometimes the mothers of couchsurfers :)

Interests

I like cooking, gaming, sci fi, walking, talking, writing, putting myself outside my comfort zone.
I also collect movies and tv shows to watch and supply the masses.
I believe everything can make you laugh, therefore I can make terrible jokes. Luckily i like people who speak up themselves

Music, Movies, and Books

Dr Who, Red Dwarf, Star Trek, Archer, Firefly (All Joss Whedon stuff actually), much of Marvel- comics, tv, movies. Usually sci-fi or spiritual peaks my interest. Anything that helps question the universe and how we perceive it.
Weird stuff ;)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Survived :D Especially with my personality.
And liked/loved. Very surprising.

Teach, Learn, Share

Jack of all trades, master of none.
Got a Bachelor of Science (major biology, minor earth sciences & philosophy)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I live about 15 minutes walk from Box Hill station, 30 mins by train into the CBD.
I have spare couches, a fold out bed and rollout mattresses. Usually setup is in the second lounge room, depends on the chaotic nature of the household (of which there is 5 of us) as what is free at any given time.
The household consists of motorcycle enthusiasts, gamers, gardeners/florists, gothic fans, rat keeper & a female viking reenator- Framherr is her viking name.
Please send all requests/messages to 'Adam & Framherr' so I know that you've read up on the household. Thanks
