I have a long relationship and love of wilderness/outdoors and people, and which I shared with the love of my life, who passed in early 2015. Many years of mountaineering, rock and ice climbing, tramping/hiking, and sea kayaking (New Zealand and extensively overseas). I also enjoy wilderness and people photography, and music (neglected flute and didgeridoo). After working in geology and environmental management, I then for more than 12-years have taught yoga in my local harbour community, and have worked as a hiking guide. I have a keen interest in history, science, philosophy and spirituality. Due to my lifestyle choices, outdoor activities and yoga, I enjoy great health and fitness.
