About Me

Hello, I'm Aimi from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but currently live in Sibu, Sarawak, Malaysia Borneo. I start travelling when I was 16 (mostly because I went to boarding school 5 hours away from home) and fall in love to explore new town and meet up with new people ever since.
Passionate about community/ humanitarian service. Involved a lot with local community program as well as international work. I would love to further use my architecture knowledge and creativity as part as my passion for community/ humanitarian engagement.
I'm a little reserve at first, but I can ensure you that we will have a great conversation after few sips of coffee. If you are into MBTI, I'm an ENFP. I'm fun loving, adventure, adrenaline seeking traveler but I do enjoy some quiet time, relax and chill conversation over coffee or picnic.
Oh..and I love love love cat (and other animals too)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love independent psychedelic music and movies. Especially appreciate a good, deep and meaningful movie. My current favourite movies for the time being are Amelie, The Quiet Room, Monsieur Ibrahim et les fleurs du Coran and Samsara.
I enjoy reading about investigation, based on true story books as well as light hearted fiction like "I Is Someone Else" by Patrick Cooper.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Drop everything and went to Nepal and volunteer (with All Hands and Heart) to help building schools that has been destroyed during 2015 earthquake. Work on construction site in a remote part of Nepal, almost no internet access, sleep in a tent for a month in winter, cold open air shower, cooked first Thanksgiving meal using only firewood for like 20 people, gathering up around the fire at night looking at the star and talk about dreams, nonsense, imaginations and life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach AutoCad (old software, but somehow still relevant), advise on architecture and interior design, I have artistic hand and I can cook a decent Malaysian dish.
I would love to learn to cook your local traditional food and live a local lifestyle.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook for you if you can provide a kitchen. We can share a good conversation about life and dreams.

Countries I’ve Visited
