Overview
About Me
Hey, I'm Alex! I'm a Bay Area native who loves dogs, travel, backpacking & writing.
Next fall I'll be starting an MFA program in creative writing. For now, I'm working as a teacher's assistant, co-teaching a class on political theory.
Before migrating to Washington, I worked for the Democratic Party as a field organizer in Iowa. Although I hate to admit it, I'm a bit of a political junkie. Yikes.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I live part time in the San Juan islands but make forays twice a week into Tacoma for work. The trip is a long one, and I'm trying to limit my mileage by finding a place to crash in Tacoma during the week. I'm hoping to find someone who'd be willing to let me crash for a night or so.

Teach: I can teach you how to appear as if you know how to appreciate wine. I can teach you the difference between "if" and "whether," "which" and "that." I can teach you a bit of banjo, too.
