ABOUT ME

I'm not so bad.

I am 22 years old, and about to graduate from college. I cannot wait. I am a nerd. I like warm weather. I like cool people. I like nifty gadgets and internet programming. I like mountain dew too much. I have a camera, and I like to take pictures with it. Sometimes they even turn out well.

I'll buy you a beer if you let me crash on your couch

PHILOSOPHY

Not sure I really have one... so I'll throw out a couple ways of living that I like:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

None yet: I am just starting here, I will be surfing off and on from may 20 - june 20, and then hopefully hosting here in Minnesota.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have never officially "couch surfed" but have had similar experiences:
- Have stayed in church basements, YMCA dorms, and community centers while filming a documentary on a student volunteer group.
- Can sleep on almost any surface

Interests

- Photography and photo editing.
- Watching and creating movies.
- Computers! Eating and sleeping.
- Finding new favorite songs.
- Playing guitar.
- Reading, especially science fiction.
- I am very well read in comic books and can discuss them in great detail for hours on end, sometimes even for hours I am a nerd, but asocially functional nerd.
- Teasing my girlfriend.
- Yelling out embarrassing things in public like "The rash only showed up a week ago!"

Lord of the Rings, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Kill Bill, Star Wars. I probably watch more movies than is necessarily healthy for him.

I am also a big Lost fan.

Almost anything by Vonnegut (The Sirens of Titan especially). Alan Moore (The Watchmen). Tolkien. Orwell. Huxley. Atwood. Some Philip K Dick. Some Peter Hamilton. I like to read a lot.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Traveled across the USA helping to film a documentary on a student volunteer organization, Students Today, Leaders Forever. They went from community to community performing service projects, with the goal of spreading good deeds across the country. It was awesome.
