G'Day Everyone.

I'm Alex, like most of you, I too am travel addict.

I love wandering the world and spending countless hours talking to the locals and taking in the sights. Whitty banter and laughs are a must.

I'm a bit of an adventure nut and will take any chance to do something a little crazy. I'm an aspiring Obstacle Course Racer (think Spartan Race, Tough Mudder and Alike), looking to make my way into the elite end of the competitions. That has lead me to find a passion for all things fitness, from yoga, pilates, crossfit, trail running and just getting outside and enjoying myself.

Most of my travels now look to be finding cool races and events all around the world. Would love to find some fellow races all around the world to train in their backyards.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I stayed at my cousins one day and he introduced me to the couch surfers that were staying with him......I was hooked.

I have hosted many travellers in Canberra whilst I was living there and the thing that I enjoyed the most was the ability to travel the world though everyones adventures and stories. Couch surfing is the ultimate way to get to know other travellers.

At the moment Im keen to stay with couch surfers the world round.

Interests

Well that's not a short list by any means, travel, Meeting new people, craft beers, amazing food. All forms of aviation and aviation sport, motorbike riding, coffee, music, and dancing like no one is watching, there's pleanty more but best leave some things a mystery for now.

Music, Movies, and Books

Animated kids movies are clearly the best.....How to train my pet dragon is the going favourite at the moment. Mind you I also love a good adventure, action, thriller, horror and can endure a chick flick if the company is good.

Big music fan, you'll find me on Soundcloud constantly and just starting to play with spotify. I like all kinds of music, though I have a soft spot for something I can dance too.

Books that open the mind are always awesome, though I tend to always end up in travel books at the moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ran away and joined the Air Force to be a pilot (the ultimate cliche), well ok I didn't run away, I wanted to become a pilot and travel the world, so I did. I've spent the last few years flying the Aussie Prime Ministers around, and have been lucky enouh to see some spectacular views out the front window, and travel the world. Made friends for life and spoken to strangers all over.

I am really excited to meet travellers from all over the world and swap cultures and experiences :). Languages, bar tricks, music, pretty much anything ah.

What I Can Share with Hosts

An open mind, training partner, tips on how to fly your own plane , witty banter, desire for adventure, a wicked individual dance style, a passion for life, some embarissing stories, a drinking buddy, and someone to share a kabab with at 5 am. The possibilities are endless really😄
