About Me

I am liberal, open-minded and on many occasions sarcastic. I love music and slowly getting interested in other arts as well. I work full time as an IT manager in a software company, while finishing my BA in the open university.

My favorite travel locations are usually in Europe, and I'm more of a city guy than a nature boy. With the low cost industry growing by the day, I find myself travelling more than before, so I expect to become more active on CS with time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I happen to travel alone from time to time, and certainly there's something missing in that. I would really love to have more people experiences in my trips, rather than only sightseeing and spending evenings alone in foreign cities.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm especially into rock of many kinds (classic, progressive, hard, some metal). I like David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Velvet Underground, Deep Purple, The Doors, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queen, Metallica, Nirvana, Rammstein and many more acts of the kind.
I also like some alternative/electronic/punk rock bands such as Depeche Mode, Placebo, Joy Division, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol and many more.

I hardly have time to read books, but when I do - I like light fantasy books (Harry Potter etc.) and documentaries.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not really into extreme sports or activities, so I haven't done anything of that sort.

I have been a little overwhelmed when visiting New York City - after seeing it daily on TV, in films and generally all over the place, the visit in Manhattan still struck me pretty hard with the enormousness of everything everywhere.

Another fantastic experience was a home match of Liverpool FC played at Anfield stadium. Being there with almost 40,000 other fans, singing "You'll never walk alone" in one voice is really impossible to compare with anything else.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm always in for a good chat (preferably at a local brewery or pub) and I'll be happy to learn about other cultures and people, as well as to talk about mine.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Egypt, England, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Montenegro, Netherlands, Russian Federation, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, Wales
