About Me

The world has always fascinated me. In my spare time I spend hours on google maps, just looking at the city details and the design of the streets. Wondering what it is like to live in the downtown of Córdoba, Daca or Wellington. The meals they have there, the relationships with their families, friends and colleagues, how they party, the TV shows they watch, all of that mesmerizes me. I love to talk about culture, life, movies and books. I was born and raised in São Paulo. When I was 16, I started a Design course at a technical school. Since then i have worked in Design. My current job is a Front End Developer in an advertising agency.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to start a new life to rediscover myself, and maybe understand what i'm living for. In 2019 i'm going to travel by hitchhiking to all Latin America countries. Passing through small cities like Treinta y tres (Uruguay) and big Metropolis (Santiago, Chile). I'm on Couchsurfing to discover other countries and cultures through another perspective. I want to meet locals and learn the tiny details of their daily routine, understanding in a deeper way how people live, love, and laugh in their countries.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movie is Adventureland (2009). I simply love the characters and the "nostalgic feeling" of the soundtrack, even though i was only born in 1999 hahaha.
A track that gives me shivers is 1979, from Smashing Pumpkins. The way Billy Corgan sings, the lyrics, the chords, the melody. Nothing is mediocre or even just "good", it is all perfect!
Jack Kerouac's "On the Road" has changed my life in so many ways that it's difficult to write about it. This book has showed me that we don't have to build a career to be happy. We can follow our dreams of meeting people and places of all around the world, getting by with all sorts of problems and not giving up at the first hurdle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to Curitiba and had a great time with people from all over Brazil. We drank in bars and hung out in nightclubs. At the end of the night, we went to a pub that had a cover band. They were playing some Rockabilly songs and i danced with everyone who wanted to rock, it was awesome. Whey they played the last song, my friend from Brasília, Nenê, started yelling "PLAY METALLICA, PLAY METALLICA" and then i started yelling too. Then the band answered our wish and played "Enter Sandman". We started a giant mosh pit and almost got kicked out of the bar. Man, it was fucking outstanding. At the end of the song, Nenê climbed on stage and yelled on the vocalist's mic: "BRASÍLIA ROCKS!". I will never forget that night
