ABOUT ME

I've started life with a bang, with job experiences from commercial construction to volunteer teaching under my belt. I finished working as a COPE and Climbing instructor for Lake of the Ozarks Scout Reservation this July, and I plan to be back there next year. In the meantime, I want to travel, to vagabond. I want to experience peoples and cultures from the ground up, walking among them as a modest traveler. To take part in the everyday lives of my fellow man and become closer to humanity as a whole, not just the small part I know of it in rural Missouri.

Interests

Climbing, teaching, learning and working. I love to hike and experience my surroundings, to look at an obstacle and do battle with it, whether it's distance to cover or a mountain to climb. I love teaching as a form of learning.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The last day of teaching my 7th and 8th grade math classes left me with such a feeling of accomplishment. Similarly, working with the Boy Scouts of America has inspired me to grow and better myself. Graduating with my homeschooling class of 2012 was a big moment as well.
