My name is Amelia, I'm 22 years old and I'm looking for new adventures! I love spending time outdoors in nature and enjoy a range of activities: hiking, running, skiing and swimming in lakes or the sea. Equally, I enjoy sight-seeing, visiting art galleries or going out to restaurants and bars.
I am creative, enthusiastic and artistic. I sing, play guitar and piano, write songs and poetry and I love to engage with what other people create too.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I solo travelled through Europe in summer 2022 using Couchsurfing to connect with hosts. Now I am hoping to offer travellers the same hospitality. I am interested to learn about different cultures and experience the places I visit as though I am a local. I have been fortunate enough to visit many countries in my life so far and I want to continue in my pursuit to see as much of this beautiful world as I possibly can! I'm excited to meet new people and learn from the experiences I can share with them.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a range of musical genres, enjoying rock and alternative music as well as classical and pop music. Some of my favourite artists are Nirvana, Nothing but Thieves, Linkin Park, Einaudi and Small Faces. The most recent book I read was "The Great Alone" by Kristin Hannah- a really impressive and thought-provoking novel about moving to rural Alaska.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am really keen to improve my German and am interested in learning new languages too. I'd like to learn about different cultures and cuisines. I play piano, guitar and the ukulele so it would be great to share that musical interest with a host/ guest. I studied philosophy, German and music composition in college. I would like to learn as many new skills as possible and am keen to get involved in new activities.
