About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Be happy, be kind and be compassion

ABOUT ME
I don't like to get ask "Introduce Yourself" even though this is definitely the first thing we would have mention for my job interview. I don't like to define myself because I'm very young and my personality can varies from time to time. I'm doing things that I wouldn't imagine I'll be doing it 5 years ago.

In terms of short term self, I'm a very enthusiastic and passionate person. I'm ready to fail and ready to learn, which is very important in my age. I like blunt people, rather to meet people who are rude than being pretentious. Judging from my name, you could probably tell I love freedom and I am very liberal (in a good way I promise).

PHILOSPHY
If it doesn't challenge you, it doesn't change you.
Just keep swimming, just keep swimming.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Living in this social media generation, I would like to diverge my mainstream perspective through traveling about what I should really understand about a country by its culture. Traveling is my way to gain a new perspective of life and understand the complexity of the world.

I love people and their stories. Humans of New York is my inspiration to just mingle around strangers and willing to take the initiative to start a conversation. I think being an active traveler is a privilege, and part of my job as a traveler is to share my knowledge and my positive values to the rest of the world.

Interests

Interested with the wildest idea, interested in people who served a purpose in community, people who can tell amazing stories in 2 minutes.

When I'm in the city, I like to visit museums and art galleries, I read books in train, and do anything related to music and art. When I'm out of city, I like to wonder and explore in nature from mountains to land, from land to sea. The fact I'm living in a city, so I appreciate any moments when I can enjoy a good nature scenery. And I am an environmental activist, so stop using plastic and save the world!

I am quite a risk taker. I enjoy hitchhiking and dumpster diving occasionally. Big fan of theme parks and extreme activities although I haven't got a chance to try bungee jump. sky diving because I couldn't afford it at the moment.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listened to Pop, R&B, Dance and EDM most of the time. Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Adele, Shawn Mendez, Ed Sheeran, Sia, and Rihanna are some of my favorite.

I love Suspension, Indie, Sci-Fi, Cartoon and Musical movies. But some times, I watch horror and love movies too just to make my life more miserable. "Pulp Fiction", "Brokeback Mountain", "Elysium", "The Farewell" are some of my favourite.

I read motivational and philosophical books a lot. And I actually learnt more about couchsurfing from "How to Travel the World on $50 a Day" written by Matt Kepnes, one of my favourite travel book of all time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Waking up from my bed every single day. I embraced my little achievement.

Teach, Learn, Share

There is a quote from Pocahontas: "If you walk the foot step of a stranger, you learn things you never knew you never knew", which still sticks in my brain till now. I think teaching and learning are a mutual relationship that will eventually comes along when two persons interact with each other. You don't have to create a lesson, so there will be someone to teach and someone to learn. You can learn anything from someone by their daily routine and the way they handle difficult situation. You can teach anything to someone by just doing your things and being yourself. Well, unless you want to learn something in particular then we will have to figure it out together.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I just realize I can actually cook Malaysian foods with limited ingredients after traveling for a while. So if you host me, I will cook local foods but not guarantee to be the best. We could sit down and have drinks over the table and talk about every topics that you are passionate about. I think whatever topics does not matter to me, but I always love to hear what people are passion about and life story in general that give them an impact and turning point in their life.
