About Me

Hi there! I'm Anabella, my friends call me Ana or Anita. I'm 27
I come from the breathtaking landscapes of Patagonia, Argentina, where I developed a deep connection to nature and a spirit of adventure from a young age.
With seven years of experience as an English teacher, I have dedicated myself to educating children and teenagers. More recently, I embraced an inclusive teaching approach for adults who have been excluded from the traditional educational system, which has greatly enhanced my empathy and compassion.
A year ago, I embarked on a new journey to the United States as part of the au pair child care program, seeking intercultural experiences and meaningful connections. I'm currently based in San Francisco Bay Area, CA.
The American family hosting me, with their Italian and Nordic roots, has enriched my cultural curiosity and welcomed me warmly into their home, fostering a close and loving bond. Our mutual support, honesty, and respect inspired me to extend my stay for another year, allowing me to continue exploring the wonders of the United States while feeling like a true member of their family.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My experience as an au pair has given me valuable insights into how enriching it is to experience culture by being hosted by locals. Sharing everyday life with my host family in the U.S. made the cultural exchange really special, and I’m excited to bring that same friendly and open spirit to my Couchsurfing experiences.
As an Argentinian, I can share a wealth of cultural experiences with someone hosting me. I can introduce them to our delicious cuisine, like empanadas and share the tradition of drinking mate. I can also teach them about our vibrant music and share stories about the diverse landscapes and rich history of Argentina and its people. I would also love to exchange my Spanish for their mother tongue.
