About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make the world a better place and to travel and learn

ABOUT ME

I'm an open-minded person who really loves learning and experiencing cultures other than my own. I love speaking with people from foreign countries to learn more about the world. I'm not much of a person who cares about material goods. I would rather much work to make the world a better place than to make a good income for myself. I can be both serious and have a lot of fun as well. After all, I do live in the city that never sleeps!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to host and participate in a number of CS meetups.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had great times surfing a few couches. Surfed a bit in Europe. Also hosted many times. Every experience I've had with CouchSurfing has been great. CouchSurfing is really a great idea!

Interests

Culture, exploring new places, concerts, massive foodie

Music, Movies, and Books

Some of my favourite movies are Lost in Translation, Sideways, Grave of the Fireflies (extremely sad and heartbreaking. I'm hesitant about watching it a second time as it is so depressing, but definitely a movie which should be seen at least once), The Science of Sleep, and The Edukators (Die Fetten Jahre sind Vorbei). I like to watch a lot of foreign filmsI like listening to a lot of varieties of music. Some of my favourite artists are some of the underrated ones which are not so well known. As for books, I used to read a lot. Unfortunately, I haven't had much time to read lately, but some of my favourites are the Harry Potter series and the His Dark Materials series, by Philip Pullman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in China for a little while. I lived the life a lower-class, middle-class, and upper-class Chinese resident. It was absolutely amazing to experience the country and the different ways in which the different classes live in a rapidly developing nation.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to teach others about the cultures I've experienced and lived. I'd gladly show fellow couchsurfers around the place in which I live. I can also teach some German and Mandarin to those interested in learning a foreign language.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bahamas, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Macao, Malaysia, Netherlands, Portugal, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In
