About Me

ABOUT ME

I am passionate about many things like outdoorsy activities, nature, permaculture, my friends, and family but also what is happening politically and how we can change towards more sustainable systems within our society; I might be an endless student never resting to learn more..., I am open, love talking to people, good food (vegan), mountain tops and the beauty of it, diving, . :)

PHILOSOPHY

There needs to be a way to make people realize that it is worth fighting for something good, something that not serve solely individual interests but that is focused on thee greater good of things. I joined this "fight" with passion and engagement being aware that a lot of the systems we have build are failing - failing us socially as well as failing us through the destruction of the natural environment.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The incredible hospitality with which I was welcomed everytime I was hosted was mindblowing. The kindness and openness towards "strangers" that the couchsurfing community supports is unique and needs to grow even further. Most of the time it is difficult to decide with whom you want to stay in one place, as there are so many interesting people that you'd love to meet. It is a unique opportunity to meet interesting people that are open and happy to share experiences, passions, knowledge and lots of interesting stories.

Interests

travelling, mountain hiking, wall-climbing, running, kayaking, permaculturing cooking vegan food, good books (that keep my mind busy), spending time with most important people in my life.
Right now I am also doing another Master's degree in Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge next to my job - life long learner :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Movies with depth, Constant Gardener, Into the wild, Forest Gump (watched it many times), Capote, Good Will Hunting etc.
Music: Everything except screamy death metal, from African Music to mainstream music with a special touch, Spanish music. Folk

Teach, Learn, Share

I am able to share some travel experience, both as a solo traveller as well as with friends. Various languages, passion for environmental causes etc. but I have not stopped learning and I never will. I am curious for new things, continuously engaging in challenges that bring me further.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A homely home away from home feeling - so I hope at least.
I appreciate discussions especially around how to rebuild this society into one that is more meaningful and genuinely happy - with a large portion of respect and honesty. With the challenges lying ahead - climate change, environmental crises and social challenges as well as a disintegration of the current economic system, we will need this shift to happen as soon as possible.

PS:
Kindly indicate which days you would like to stay with me if you send me a request. That makes it easier for me to give you a quick answer. Moreover, I don't like it so much when generic requests are sent out, so kindly show that you have read the profile. In the end couchsurfing for me is not just free accommodation but sharing and learning from each other, enjoying each other's company. Therefore stays of multiple days are preferred.
