About Me

My name is April, which doesn’t mean I was born in April. I can be reserved or funny and a bit crazy, depending on who I meet. My friends say I’m loads of fun after wine. Overall, I’m a positive, dynamic and flexible traveler. People and food are the core of my journey. I want to see the world before every spot becomes similar and metropolitan. I want to know different spirits and cultures.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I own the world a big debt. I have been hosted by people from different nations. My gratefulness is more than words. As a surfer, I’m here to meet friends, have fun and exchange different thinking and culture. As a host, I want to help travelers and show a cool chinese.

Music, Movies, and Books

I can’t live without music. Good lyrics, beats or rhythms win my ❤️ Sia is my favorite singer. I can’t really listen to heavy metal rock&roll as I’m too shallow to appreciate beauty from its shouting. 🙂I am a big fan of thriller and suspense movies, such as Mulholland Drive, Triangle and 12monkeys. Book: killing a mocking bird, some books by Mitch Album. I’ve got shitty ‘senior memory’

Here are FAQs given by my lovely foreign friends.
1. ‘What do you think of Chinese government? They are mad and controlling, aren’t they? ‘You don’t surprise me by asking our politics and even criticizing it. Frankly, If my people from mainland China are content with the government, it’s none of your business. Besides, some awakening Chinese fellas have been using their ways to access to international information. Second, I don’t care what nationality HK people and Taiwan people want to be. Somehow I imagine the heaven wouldn’t divide us by race, color and sex after death. Third, after watching 4seasons of House of Cards, I suspect authenticity of news. Plus, don’t hear about China. Instead, go to China and clear up mysteries. Fourth, every country similar to families has this and that problem. If you really want to talk about China of last century, how about we talk about wars in Europe and Asia? I’m not either a politician or a scholar, can not be knowledgeable enough to answer everything. Personally, what matters is to learn from the past.
2. ‘Do Chinese really eat dogs/blablabla?’ Only minority consume them. I know how they unbelievably adorable and smart are, even so, as long as you consume animals, you should also be judged if you do the same to my people. There are countries eating worms, kangaroos and birds, why Chinese particular?
3. ‘How is China?’ This is massive and overwhelming. Emm...where &which part should I start? China has got five-thousand-year history and I’m in my twenties. But I’m happy to tell what I can.
BTW, I’m truly sorry for some Chinese tourists’ improper behavior in your country. Like poor-educated kids, they are unaware and lack of ‘ common sense ‘ when seeing a fascinating world
