An absolutely harrowing and deep philosophical thriller,about heroin snuggling in early-70s California. Stone's"Outerbridge Reach" is much less painfull,see also"Gradlevel Lit".Thomas Pynchon,"The Crying of Lot49".A really enjoyable short novel taht's also incredibly rich in ideas."Vineland"is readable but comparatively dull.
