ABOUT ME

I'm a 5'10, brown haired, bearded, and travel enthusiast. I have always loved the great outdoors, always been a fan of camping in tents and loved nature. I am love language and differences in methods of communication. I have been in education for a few years, started back in college and will soon begin to help in Linares and Longavi, Chile.

PHILOSOPHY

I live for the opportunity to share my faith to others through my actions. I am a confessional Lutheran, this means that I follow the Ecumenical Creeds, Book of Concord, and the final say in everything the Bible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have gone to language exchanges and coffee shop meetups. Once I am established in Chile I would be more than willing to give a place for someone to crash if needed and even have language exchanges there as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Never stayed on a couch yet but I have let people crash in my place before. I have gone out for drinks or to show people around the cities I've been in.

Interests

I like things spanish, I am an outdoorsy person. So if you know of a great hike nearby or a national park that I have to go to, I would love to hear it. I love reading and find myself getting lost in books frequently and enjoy hearing recommendations for new books and series.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies, my favorite movie is Boondock Saints. The style of the film is fantastic and it always gets my attention. My favorite show is Game of Thrones, ergo I like the book series Song of Ice and Fire. My top book series is The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan, but GoT is a close second.
Music is always interesting and all types have their own appeal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One trip to Ecuador we went on a rain forest excursion for a week. We went to a few different places in the week but the most impressive was the afternoon we spent hiking up stream and climbing up waterfalls!
