Hello, everyone!

I'm Ashtyn, and I'm 23 years old and recently graduated from university with a degree in international relations and a minor in French. I love travelling, and have lived in three countries anywhere from 2 months all the way to a year. I also am a huge linguaphile and love learning language, so I will be eager for you to teach me a few words in yours! Who knows? You might just inspire me to endeavor to learn it. Aside from travel and languages, I enjoy reading--books of all kinds. When I'm not too busy with school, you can often find me at the local bookstore or in a cafe devouring my latest read! I also love music and almost majored in it in college. My favorite instrument is the French horn. I listen to every kind of music and would love for you to share yours with me. On the occasion, I also enjoy drawing/painting, especially when I'm trying to relax. I look forward to connecting with you on our travels!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe the best part of traveling to be the people. I love making cross-cultural connections and having the most authentic experience possible. Couchsurfing gives me the opportunity to truly get to know the country through the eyes of a local which is my favorite way to explore any place!

Books: anything and everything but my favorite author is Sarah J. Maas. I like reading anything from fantasy books all the way to political analyses. I also read a lot of French literature as well.
