About Me

CURRENT MISSION

travelling

ABOUT ME

I don't like walking (I make exception when I'm in the nature), traffic and public transport.
I achieve perfect happiness when I'm snowboarding.
I have terrible sense of direction.
I am vegetarian.
I love my bike. His name is Vučko - after the wolf from winter olympic games in Sarajevo. Both are small, red and sharp in their cuteness. I don't have habit to name all of my belongings - only the special ones.
I dream about peace on the world and welfare for everyone.
Some days I would like to have small wine factory in Croatia.
If I wasn't be journalist I would be private detective.

PHILOSOPHY

Go! Wherever you have chance to. Or want to. There isn't any place that I don't want to see. Some of them are just in the end of my list (East Asia).

It's like in this famous dialog with some famous climber
- Why do you want to climb Mt. Everest?
- Because it's there

Very, very useful advice is - "whatever you think think the opposite". It came from Paul Arden's book with the same title. Strongly recommend! Even for people who despise guide book - it not typically "how to live" shit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It's easier to travel if you have something for beginning - couch in this case. I don't use it very often, but every time I do, it's good experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Positive, but I need to be honest - I'm not even close to "user of the year" title. When I'm not during one of my trips, I often forget about CS. I know - it isn't fair and I'm not proud of it.

Interests

doing new things, visit new places, reading about new stuff.
when I'm in my energy days I'm doing yoga, swimming, jogging and I make a lot of chaos around me. (I know - chaos don't go with yoga, but I try to find balance)
when I'm in my lazy days I'm reading or watching movies.
when I'm in my extremely lazy days I'm watching "Friends" for the hundredth time.

Music, Movies, and Books

books: The Unbearable lightnes of beeing, American gods, Catch 22, ...
I wanted to write one of Martin Pollack's book, but I couldn't find english translation of it's title. What's even stranger - I couldn't find his wikipedia's site in english. He is German writer. It would be such a waste if english-speaking readers can't know it.

Yes, there were some of my "classic". But there is more, there is always more. I always read something. Sometimes two titles in one time.

I am scared because there is so many books in the world and so little time, and a lot of other distractions.*
*I just saw that for almost a year by mistake I had the word "destruction" insted of "distractions" here. But actualy it kind of fit also.

music - electro, dnb, drums, experimental music, I like listen to jazz and classic too.

movies: two the best of all time:
1. Fiddler on the roof
2.Dr. Strangelove

I love documentary movies. For example: Defamation, Man on Wire, Grizzly Man. But my newest number one is Green Prince. The most amazing story!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm actually kind of proud from all my trips. But the most amazing was hitchhiking to Albania. This is one of the strangest country.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach polish of course. And my method is slightly different from polish speaking people you might meet - I don't start from curses.
I can show you how to unicycle. I on the other hand would like to practice slackline. I tried only once, but I wanna continue it some days for sure!
I also make pretty tasty hummus - but it's nothing you wouldn't find on the internet.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Montenegro, Netherlands, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Croatia, Iceland, Poland, United Kingdom
