À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

See as much of the Earth as possible.

ABOUT ME

I finished my doctorate degree years ago. I worked a couple of years and then decided to travel before I get too old (haha). I live in Charlottesville, Virginia, which is a small town on the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. It's a very beautiful place to live. My family lived nearby on a vineyard/winery. I spent most of my life living/working on the vineyard helping my parents make wine. I have a younger brother. He also enjoys traveling. My mother is Japanese and my father is Italian American.

I've traveled to quite a few places in my time. I've been all over Western Europe and some parts of Eastern Europe. I've been to China, Japan, and Korea. I went all across South East Asia and India. I've been to parts of Northern Africa. Recently I've traveled through most of Central America. And now I'm still going...

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to take in as much of this world as I can before I die. Whether it be through travel, books, or people. Information is power!! I like to try to understand why people do the things they do, and to empathize with people as much as possible.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Surfed in several countries. Met amazing people and made true friends.

Centres d'intérêt

I play soccer (futbol), basketball, and any other sport that's fun to play. I will hike if there is an aesthetically pleasing destination, but I don't like to just wander around in the woods. Most of all, I love travelling... anywhere and everywhere.
Oh, and I like to go drinking with my friends.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Music: Classic Rock, Hard Rock, classical, hip hop, indie, anything but country.
Books: I haven't had too much time to read anything besides science journals these days, but I was an English major at one point. I like anything from Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde to Micheal Crichton and Dickins.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

One of the amazing things I've done is jump out of a perfectly good airplane. Skydiving is great!! On the other end, I saw a whale shark while SCUBA diving off of Koh Tao in Thailand... seeing that giant fish swim by me was a humbling experience.
