Hi there! My name is Kari. I'm new here. I am traveling the world with my dog.

I am an artist, and a creator. I like to build and make things beautiful.
Traveling is my happy place. I love to explore and see new places, and I love to be in nature. Also, I have decided to take up filmmaking and photography as my newest creative path in life, and I would love to learn from anyone with experience!

I like to slow travel, I'm not a big planner, I like to leave things open for unexpected adventures. I've done vanlife, solo travel, and group travels. This time, I am traveling with my dog Chief.

Chief is a large husky mix. He is very calm and happy. He loves people and animals. He's big, but super chill. He doesn't go on furniture. Usually, he just sleeps when we are not out on an adventure.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfers because I want to get to know the world in a way that I haven't yet.. I want to see each place like a local and not a tourist. And of course, it seems like a great way to make new friends!

I like any movie with a good story, especially fantasy, magic or psychological thrillers.

I like almost any movies with Matt Damon or Anthony Hopkins.

I read mostly non fiction books. My favourite one lately -- The happiness of pursuit by Chris Guillebeau

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was on mainstage at Tomorrowland in 2018 ~ And in the after movie

I got my sky diving license at age 22.

I skipped a flight in Costa Rica to go bungee jumping alone.

I sold everything and moved into a van to travel full time

I built an off-grid cabin and farm in Oregon

I've driven the entirety of many countries. (I love to drive)

I opened my own business at age 17

Teach, Learn, Share

I've learned a lot of different skills in my life, I can build a house from the ground up, Set up off grid systems and turn bare land into a profitable business. I've been a tattoo artist, jewelry maker, fabric designer and farmer.

I try to soak up knowledge where ever I can, and enjoy sharing ideas with new people. I'm open to learning all things!

I have a new goal to learn as many languages as I can. I'd love for you to share your words with me.

What I Can Share with Hosts
