To get even more experiences and knowledge in life, so that I will be able to educate people who never had a chance to get educated. I want to share my knowledge and experiences with the world, changing the world one person at a time.

ABOUT ME

Happy, always with a smile, positive, outgoing and adventurous. Just a few words people describe me with once they get to know me.
My name is Babeth, currently 30 years old and the description above is actually quite accurate. My life started in a small country in Europe, called the Netherlands. This is where I was born and raised.
I am always up for a good time, love a good and deep conversation and I absolutely adore the universe, our planet and it’s inhabitants and just about everything else. I'm fascinated by physics and the universe, thinking about life and ancient civilazations.
Sport is something I love too, you can find me on my snowboard on snowy mountains, catching a wave somewhere on an island, rockclimbing whatever mountain I can find or dive with the most beautiful creatures in the oceans across the planet. Nature is the best!

Ever since I could walk I had a habit of wandering off and getting lost in the neighbourhood, which must have worried my mom I few times, but after a while she got used to it. So as you can see, I was already quite adventurous when I was only 2 years old.
They say that people change when they grow older, but I am afraid that doesn’t apply to me, because I still love (and with that I mean LOVE!!) to wander off and get lost in an unknown environment. So it is not surprising that my biggest dream has always been to travel the world, get lost and do whatever I want to do!

Finally in 2013 I decided to give up on everything I had and make my dream come true. I gave up on the house I rented, gave away all my stuff and booked a planeticket to Australia. I couldn’t have made a better choice and I have been travelling around the world ever since.
I am definately infected with the travel virus now and I am absolutely loving it! I plan on traveling our entire beloved earth.

Life begins at the end of your comfort zone!

I’ve currently settled down
with my husband whom I met on the road. I still travel but not in the extent that I used to.
I’ve started studying environmental sciences since past February and hope to do my masters in either marine biology or oceanography when the time comes.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I recently hosted a couchsurfer for the first time and it was a good experience. I will definately host more people if I ever decide to settle down again. I do however travel with a tent, and if we end up travelling together, you're welcome to stay in my tent.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been couchsurfing a few times now and I met the most beautiful souls I could ever imagine. I love the concept, the trust that people put into complete strangers and the most amazing stories while having a share with wonderful minds. For me couchsurfing is not getting free accommodation, but meeting amazing people, learning new languages and cultures and experience the true life of the locals!

I love so many things, it's too much to mention!
Nature, science, the universe, history, photography, extreme sports, travelling and much much more!!
And the best thing: being happy all the time!

My decision to start travelling full time. Never in my life have I met so many beautiful people, learned so much about life and experiences so many great things. Nothing but love.
