À propos de moi

CURRENT MISSION

To play on as many stages and with as many creative musicians around the world as possible. To find purpose in my life, and to make my heart feel warm and full of light and joy as often as possible.

ABOUT ME

I am a professional musician currently traveling grouch Europe before I head to New York to continue my music studies. I am a multi instrumentalist but I choose to cart around a big double bass because it’s bad ass and it gives me so much joy and pleasure to play :) I love what I do and I thank my lucky stars that I am capable of doing what I love :)

OTHER than "work", I love being in nature, hiking on the mountain, trail running, exploring, dancing, festivalling, all the things really! Oh, food. Food is a passion of mine. Eating it, making it... it's just the growing it that I need to master now...

PHILOSOPHY

life is meant to be lived, not endured
Do what you love, and you wont have to work a day in your life :)

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've hosted several CSers from around the world, each gave me a new outlook on life/ showed me how its possible to live alternatively :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent a night in Durban with some very cool surfer dudes (bro), but otherwise havent done much myself. I'm currently in Europe trying to couchsurf a bit, but it's been so long since I've used this forum that I'm a bit out of touch... Oh well! Positive thinking can take you very far :) so heres to hoping for the best :)

Centres d'intérêt

any kinds of sport, eg surfing, waterpolo, lifesaving, etc... love the ocean, or any kind of large water area :P
i also enjoy a good night out on the town and being around friends with a good sense of humour. Any new experiences are welcome :)

Music is also a big part of my life. There is no feeling that compares to that rush you get when you're playing onstage with musicians that are just burning a hole in the ground(its a good thing...)! The excitement and adrenaline rush is incomprehensable...

Im also what you would consider to call a 'foodie'. I live to eat, not eat to live. The idea of eating different foods and flavors is exciting and enticing! But, with that in mind, I might have to draw the line on some kinds of stuff... like eating spiders, or grasshoppers... I don't know why, but I just can't get my mind around that! I love to make healthy, feel good meals that have a low impact on the earth :) and baking is also something that I enjoy. Its cool, just being in the kitchen with awesome music playing in the background, and you jamming out while you're whisking the veggies are roasting in the oven or something :) mmmm

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Movies: Alice in Wonderland, Yes Man, The Reader, The Accidental Husband, Avatar, Eat Pray Love, 007, Life of Pi, Waiting, any Tarantino movies... the list goes on...

Books: Shantaram, The Pact, The Book thief, The Hunger Games... I dont read that often but when I do, I cant seem to put the book down

Music: If it makes me move, I like it :) Im not bound to any genre... it mostly depends on my mood
Digging my soul and r&b right now...

Im also a theatre lover, Buried Child by Sam Shepard, Waiting For Godot, Woza Albert!, I enjoy Lara Foot-Newtons productions quite a bit...

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

In Madagascar, my family and I saw a flock/school of flying fish just cruising through the water. It was awesome!
While we were there, we also saw a lot of tropical fish, a sea turtle, a few eels... The water was just so clear and warm!
I've bunge jumped off Blaukrans twice (forwards and backwards)
Paddled next to a whale, swam with seals (not purposefully), Seen a few dolphins while out on the water...
Played music all over Europe, in some very small towns to some very happy villagers :)
Busked all over, with a bunch of different musicians from different backgrounds
Cruised on motorbikes through Vietnam up to the Chinese border and back
Attempted snowboarding in the Swiss Alps... the Alps won...
Surfed the Eisbach in Munich, in Winter...

teach: people how to follow their passions in life
