ABOUT ME

Hey! I'm Bálint, out for meeting new people, experiencing new things and exploring new cultures.

I enjoy intense ping-pong matches, good conversations, and all sorts of humour! I have an interest in a great many things, including but not limited to: kyokushin karate, literature, long bicycle tours, films, all sorts of cakes, music, thinking about stuff; and cultures and art in general.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Started to couchsurf in 2014 while on a 10-day trip to London. Afterwards, as I had no roommate, I started hosting travellers -- which was also great fun! I have a roommate again, so I won't be hosting for now, but I'm probably still up for socializing / helping in any way I can.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Stood atop a rainbow once, after bicycling to the top of Timmelsjoch pass at 2,474m high in the Alps, listened to the sounds of the Red Fort in Delhi, played some Jimi Hendrix records for a classical Odissi dancer, stared into a vigil fire in upstate New York, dipped into an ice-cold Norwegian mountain stream after a sauna with couchsurfers, hitchhiked to where the wind was born and practiced kung-fu with a temporary neighbour in China.
