About Me

We are Ana and David. We love to travel.

We are a couple who arrived to Canda a year ago. We love animals and the outdoors. We are really easy going, we actually got married and our wedding party was inviting all our family members to a private screening at the movies.

Ana has hosted surfers at her apartment and really enjoys talking to other travellers. David has less experience with couch, but he is more social and fun. She specially loves yoga, taking pictures, philosophy and finding meaning in life.

David loves nature and worked many years in villa de Leyva in a hotel on a mountain top. He really likes cats and dogs and animals and breathing the fresh mountain air. He used to coach a basketball team in Villa de Leyva, he specially loves basket.

We would love to practice some english with you and hear your stories. We don't have a set home for now, but we may visit your city soon :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many! we love Sartre, Heidegger and any existencialist. we also enjoy eastern philosophers like Osho, and activists like Lynne Twist. or books about journalism or pro peace, pro women, pro human rights etc.
cinema, everything from almodovar and woody allen up to Park Chan Woo, Darren Aronofski or Tarantino. Also love the classics, Jean Luc Godard, Fellini or Buñuel... we just love so many movies it is hard to choose...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteering for the UN as a translator and interpreter was amazing! I learned a lot and I also became very interested in environmental and indigenous issues.
Quitting our jobs and start traveling has been great. So far this year we have been to 4 cities in Canada and USA.

Teach, Learn, Share

David has been a basketball trainer and I have taught English and computer science to adults. I really enjoy teaching what I know.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach english, (if you are reading this probably you don't need those classes, so I can also teach Spanish). I can teach how to knit, I can practice yoga with you, or maybe do a little jogging? walking? brainstorm about what life is about? Basically help with whatever I can, and learn as much as possible.

David is really good at fixing things, building stuff, taking care of animals, he used to own a restaurant so he knows his way around the kitchen, and he defintetly can give you some advice if you want to train for basketball.
