About Me

IMPORTANT. READ THIS FIRST:

I am on Couchsurfing to learn about other cultures and for international exchange. Therefore I will only host international people from elsewhere than France. If you are from France, please understand that I would prefer not to host you.

En français: Je suis sur Couchsurfing pour apprendre sur des cultures différentes et je vais donc seulement héberger les gens internationaux et qui ne sont pas français.

CURRENT MISSION

finding the way home to Austr(al)ia!

ABOUT ME

I am originally from Austria and I am working as a film maker all around the world. I am searching something (literally anything!) that will point me towards what I want to do in the future. (But I'm making sure I enjoy the journey!)

I'd say I am open minded and interested in whatever other people are doing, and how they are living their lifes.

I love to try out everything! I was jumping very high into water, fly airplanes or hitch-hicked thousands of kilometers. I am talented in creating things, be silly and generally rather do stuff than just talk about it.

PHILOSOPHY

The shortest way to yourself leads you at least one time around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am definitely not one of those Couchsurfers who use this platform just to get a free hotel. Those people destroy the whole system and I really dont understand them, since they simply miss the whole thing what it is about. I was participating (in fact teaching!) in University classes, suddenly traveled together and many times got out in the evening with people where I couchsurfed. Getting to know the people is part of getting to know the culture!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed already a couple of places and I am thankful to every single one of them! Some people helped me really out of troubles and I got a place to stay just hours before arriving because the original couchhoster suddenly had no time anymore or did not show up!

I hosted people as well and I hope you had a good time at my place. I never forget moments when people had to leave in the hardest rain ever or writing their sign for hitch hiking further!

Interests

I like to go on adventures and explorations, I like foreign food and cultures, I like to adapt to another culture, I like to get to know people with a warm heart and I like all sorts of things which makes life more enjoyable. And I like happy and cheerful people. A lot actually.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am very interested in movies and cinema but rather the alternative and indie type than the mainstream blockbusters. I like this type of movie where I still have to think about the story even days after watching it. I like all kinds of music, especially local music! My taste in music ranges from "you need to listen to this" to "I know, please don't judge me!"

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Juggle while riding a unicycle, go crazy when I get my hands on a fruit juicer, immigrate into several different countries (accidently into Spain, long story), climb a volcano, flying one-way to a small pacific island ... I should stop here, otherwise this list will get very long.

Teach, Learn, Share

When I am not busy with working or other stuff, I am happy to show people around! If you are keen and I (including my house mates) have time we can even go surfing, kayaking, hiking, or whatever is to do around the island! French Polynesia is an expensive place so be prepared to spend money. If you are on a tight budget, don't expect me to pay for your food or activities.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very basic and like it simple, I won't be complicated and won't be of a financial burden. I can share my happiness, big smile, travel stories, etc.
