About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To raise our 13 adopted children to become citizens of the world

ABOUT ME

I am 64, my husband is 80. We are immersed in raising our children,
(18 total, 13 adopted) 6 still at home, growing food on our organic farm, fermenting food and teach others about how food is medicine. We live an active life and welcome friends and couchsurfers to hear our story and share theirs. We want to raise our children to be citizens of the world as well as embracing their Ojibwe / Finnish heritage. We live simply, close to the land, in reverence for the Mother's gifts.
We are a non smoking, non drinking family.

Philosophy

Love heals. Only love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have an extra bed or two in a private room or two, and a 100 acres of camping space. Also have a tiny trailer on Lake Vermilion with no amenities, but water outside and an outhouse. We have a traditional longhouse that you are welcome to sleep in. We welcome Couchsurfing friends to share our meals.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We have hosted Central American refugee asylum seekers many years ago.Have hosted many couch surfers.
