About Me

Reserved yet friendly, serious yet funny, meditative yet easygoing, curious yet respectful. I always keep an open mind and do my best to make people feel at ease with me. My friends would describe me as a relaxed kind of guy who never gets angry, thinks a lot, is always there to help and is good at trivia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm eager to meet people and make new friends. Hosting, being hosted or just traveling with someone is such a great opportunity to share ideas and get to know interesting people from all over the world.

Some of my CS experiences:
Backpacking for nearly one month around Scandinavia and the Baltic shores.
Christmas in Paris.
Around the so-called Golden Ring near Moscow, Russia.
Backpacking in Luxembourg and Western Germany.

Next on my bucket list (don't know how, don't know when):
The Balkans,
The Caucasus,
Central Asia.
Wanna join?

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite movies include '2001: A Space Odissey', 'A.I.', 'Titanic' and 'Jurassic Park'. I like romance, adventure and sci-fi movies most, but I also enjoy action, musical, documentary and other genres. Oh, and animated movies, too! 'Alice in Wonderland' is probably my favorite.

Favorite books... It's hard to tell. Maybe Bulgakov's 'The Master and Margarita', Bradbury's 'The Martian Chronicles' and Carroll's 'Alice through the Looking-Glass'.

Music: it really depends on the mood I'm in. I love Björk - she's awesome, I enjoy folk and traditional music a lot, and I occasionally find myself listening to Enya. I'm not that into rock music, but I've got a huge thing for the Cranberries. I also listen to commercial pop music. Sometimes I'm in the classical music mood: Ligeti, Stravinsky, Smetana, Grieg, Khachaturian are among my favorite composers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

First hiking and hitchhiking adventure in Sogn og Fjordane county, Norway. Amazing landscapes, fjords, waterfalls, mountains, valleys and... drivers ready to give you a ride!

The Cranberries live in Luxembourg *-*

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd be very happy to teach you some Italian language/history/culture, or some basic Russian or Chinese if you're interested. I'm open to anything, really.
