About Me

Divemaster
Violin-player
Ex-journalist
Football-nut

Born and raised in Singapore till the not-so-tender age of 18. Spread some cream on my back for wing-sprouting purposes and flew to the US for my undergrad, but not before locking myself in a toilet cubicle at JFK crying for 30 minutes wanting to go home to La Madre. Pushed through my fear of leaving the comfort zone that is the loving arms of La Madre and spent three absolutely wondrous years in Boston. Returned to Singapore to work for a few years before deciding time was too precious to be spent cooped up in an office five days a week. Quit my job and spent the next year scuba-diving in Thailand and finding Nemo, MH370 and Sebastian.

Then a ladybug battered its eyelids on Mars and the scuba waves churned me onto the shores of Barcelona where I've been calling home since August 2015. Have since been absolutely loving every minute in this wonderful city.

Saying I'm here to study is only a pretence. Truth is I can't stand Luis Suarez and am here to hunt him down. Join me, won't you?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Would love to get to know more locals and foreigners in this melting pot of international cultures that is the globe!

Meeting new people
Learning about new cultures
Exchanging anecdotes
Sharing experiences

I'm unfortunately unable to host as I'm renting a place from a friend and she's rather strict with guests.

Interests

Spontaneity, cafes, bars, diving, classical music, football (to watch), beaches, concerts, or just people watching and walking around!

Anything Christopher Nolan-related
Anything with Leonardo DiCaprio (yes I'm a cliche)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attempted to chase a shark in the waters off Koh Phi Phi, Thailand. I think that's pretty amazing.
