Well, I am cultural mix of Portuguese and East Indian. I was born in Africa, grew up in Canada and work and live in the US. I thrive on traveling and here's why...

I love culture and understanding not just how, but why people do the things they do - I love music, learning languages even if it's simple expressions, the ocean, and going to local dive places. Unless I have a specific objective in mind, I try to avoid the crowds and tourist traps.

I am a total foodie and as much as I like all foods, I try to eat healthy when I am alone at home. It's when I travel, I curb my dietary restrictions ;)) It's the exception I make to enjoy myself.

From a hobbies perspective, I enjoy frequenting the gym, stock and options trading and I have a thing for banks. Am an engineer but my true passion is corporate finance - Go figure!

To meet people from around the world and engage in their culture, interests, language and customs. One thing I have learned is that I find myself constantly intrigued by the creative arts field as I am very technical by nature. With that being said, I love meeting people of all walks of life but I especially gravitate toward people with a creative background like painting, photography, interior design, music and film!

This is challenging to come up with a worthy response as I have read so many other couchsurfer profiles and I don't know if I can honestly compete with some of those responses. I can say I have lived on four (4) continents and visited the Galapagos Islands on a whim! A last minute decision turned out to be the best trip I have ever been on.

I can teach you all sorts of things surrounding the subject of finance. For example, I can teach you the basics of how trade stock options, even show you how to rent stocks you own. I have also taken weight training classes. I can show you how to train with weights. We can even workout together. I can educate you on lots of things about US & Canada as I am a citizen of both countries. I can introduce you to lots of people in your travels as I have travelled more than my profile actually states.
