about my village
The M'Hamid area is known with the big dunes. They are the largest to scale the African continent. Chigaga that is the largest with a height of 300 meters
Besides that of Chigaga, is also located on the other dunes, like Lihoudi Erg (dune Jew) in haumage was a Jew who lived near the dune.
At 50Km from M'Hamid is also the dunes of Erg Zahar. A gathering of several dunes in a mixture of simple and wilderness at a time. It is a magical and fascinating place. Discover this secret paradise of nature and experience unforgettable nights in the dunes which remains untapped until now.

The rural town of Mhamid El ghizlane consists of 7 small villages (douar) which are: R'Gabi, Ouled Driss, Bounou, Mhamid Elbali ( old Mhamid), and talaa ouled mhya, Talha, Ouled Youssef.
We will explain and show you the ethnic influences Arab, Berber, Jewish and Sahrawis. You will feel the history of the caravans to trade in the kasbah but also the history of slavery across Africa. You will certainly be invited to visit a home and drink tea with the locals. Do not hesitate to ask up to the roof of the kasbah to discover a splendid view and discover the famous KSOUR.
