关于我

ABOUT ME

Hey! My name's Brett.

As a young design professional I spend my week days brining concepts to reality by adding creativity and cleverness to things in the digital space. At night I shut the laptop and pick up tools. I also own and operate a community motorcycle garage I can most often be found in my shop slowly restoring and giving a new life to old motorcycles or mopeds. On the weekends I load up my Jeep or a bike and seek out new places and adventures that I have not yet experienced.

PHILOSOPHY

When you have given something your all and have absolutely nothing left to give...... Fuck it. Don't let things that are completely out of your control overwhelm you.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I travel a lot and couchsurfing has been a great resource for not only finding a place to stay after a long journey, but also a space that has fostered really amazing friendships with people I never would have met otherwise.

兴趣

Design, Mechanical Things, Tinkering, Mopeds, Motorcycles, Traveling, and Adventures.

音乐、电影和书籍

I am incredibly dyslexic, so my favorite t books are the ones on tape. But they would share the same genre as movies that I like, which would be SciFi. I love stories that capture my imagination and transport me to fantastical places. The last book I read was Ready Player One, if you haven't picked it up yet, totally worth it.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

In June / July 2014 I road across the United States on the Trans American Trail. This 5,000 mile journey is a harsh rout that is usually reserved for rigged Jeeps or purpose build dull sport motorcycles that goes through 10 states, has altitude ranges from 0 to over 9,000ft, and includes a incredibly diverse range of terrain. A few brave soles and myself attempted the journey during the summer of 2014 on the most undeserving and under powered bikes, 50cc mopeds. I was the only one that completed the trip.

In the summer of 2015 I raced in the Baja 1000 for the first time on a Honda XR450. The Baja 1000 is one of the hardest continual off road desert race. After the race I road the full length of the Peninsula and fell in love with that part of Mexico. I have gone back every year since to do the race and explore more and more.
