About Me

I CAN'T HOST ANYBODY UNTIL JUNE, SORRY.

I'm a very simple person, curious and open-minded, normally in a good mood.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To experience the places I'm visiting from a different perspective and to share with guests what I love the most about the city I live in. I think that going out with locals allows a better understanding of where you are, leading to more enjoyable situations.

Interests

I studied engineering and I like maths and science in general: physics/astronomy, chemistry (especially when it is food-related) and some branches of biology.
I am trying to get to know better IT and electronics as I want to put my hands on things.
I enjoy learning foreign languages a lot and even reading about linguistics, sometimes.

Music, Movies, and Books

Until a few years ago I used to read a lot of classic literature and novels in general, especially by Kerouac, Dostoevskij, Tondelli, Kafka, Camus. Now I am more into essays or other forms of writing that can contribute more straightforwardly to increasing my knowledge (on geography, cooking, whatever) and hopefully also my understanding of the world.

I grew up listening to classic and progressive rock and most of the people I really like are either dead (like Frank Zappa) or not playing anymore (like Led Zeppelin). I am trying to follow the current scene so I can go to concerts :P and I have opened up to electronic music, trip hop and similar genres over the years. I am very fond of some Italian music like Fabrizio De Andrè and the good old prog (PFM, le orme, banco del mutuo soccorso...). I am a fan of Bruno Belissimo.

I like cinema, but I am a bit tired of writing. My favourite director right now is Alex de la Iglesia.

Countries I’ve Lived In
