About Me

CURRENT MISSION

going back to my roots so that i may transcend them someday

ABOUT ME

I'm someone who finds it difficult to describe herself. We all work so hard to build (what we generally call) a solid personality, we absorb all kinds of stuff and include them in our beings till they actually seem our own, like a leg or an arm. Then there comes a time when we doubt all that and start to deconstruct. Some of us deconstruct so much, that they no longer find relevant concepts to work with. Describing myself a certain way is.. not so necessary and it's limiting. I guess i would automatically become available for certain people, certain groups etc. I'm just trying to do good, help out if i can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
i hosted a few times, i've told lots of people about it; when i was hitch hiking through Chile and every time i got the opportunity to tell someone about CS, i did it.. even if it seemed very unlikely that the person who found out about it would actually do something with the new information (like check out the website or join the community). It is fascinating how people react when they learn about CS; they are generally very interested and enthousiastic irrespective of their background, knowledge, profession or exposure to this this whole travelling-surfing-sharing concept. I´m discovering most people want to help out, they just don´t know how to do it. CS is a good platform for them to start.

Music, Movies, and Books

images: mostly documentaries, Baraka, Samsara; i'm not that fond of 'living' other people's experiences anymore - yes, i do learn from them but they're still not my own; although it feels comforting to be the hero or the lover or the activist, all of them with no effort and in just 2 hours, i'd rather not assume imaginary roles and be myself, however difficult that might get at times :)
words: Alice Miller, Anodea Judith, Krishnamurti, Maria Montessori, Fernando Savater, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Mario Vargas Llosa
sounds: ah, well.. i don't know all of the world's instruments, but i'm pretty sure i love them all - duduk, ney, oud, tabla drums, darbouka, sithar, charango, zampona, quena, sarangi...
