I'm the kind of person that wonders why the world can't just get along...

I dream of a world where everyone lives and let others live however they want. So long as no one is harming anyone else. Free to believe or not. Free to love anyone. Free to eat meat or not. Mostly I want to be apart of a world where everyone is free to be, whatever or whoever they really are. Break down the fears, break down the walls. Let's be real here...we are comprised of 99.9% of the same DNA ;)
and we are all made of the elements from stars, star dust, after all...

PHILOSOPHY

I am here to love, to learn, to experience, to see, to grow to know. Nature is what is pure to me. Especially the parts least touched by us humans.
This is the only life we get. It deserves a conscious effort. Can't live it for anyone else. Find it. Live it! Sometimes looking inside ourselves is the hardest part. But in there, is our heart!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couchsurfing is about connection. For me it is learning about another person's life, lifestyle, personal preferences, personality, ideals and dreams...just sharing in this human experience that is life. No one oweing another. Giving and sharing for the sake of giving and sharing.

Would love to meet up with fellow surfers when they come into town to hike, eat, hear each others' stories. When I wanna, I attend mixers and CS events. I share my house with people I've never met and surf the same.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

First surfing experience was in New Zealand with 3 different, amazing hosts, actually 4 if you count the all Czech house(like 10 flatmates)in Queenstown where the 6 of us travel companions all slept in one full size bed! Unbeatable times at each place, from the food, the fun, and the camaraderie. Since, I hosted in Denver and surfed around the world. And even took my mom on her one and only Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Although I am not musically inclined, I love hearing it live...especially guitars and vocals around campfires! Nahko Bear and Medicine for the People, Trevor Hall...
Books... Be Here Now, Getting Stoned with Savages, Sing You Home, Eat Pray Love...and Into the Wild...these people inspire me, draw me in, and I feel there is a common thread...a spark.
2 of my favorite authors are Paulo Coehlo and Jodi Picoult.
I like documentaries and will watch movies but rarely think they are great!

Life. Simply put, the fact that I am alive, truly living. First one of my family to complete a college degree! Moved halfway across my country to a new state to live alone, with no roommates, for an internship(i knew 4 people in the state). Learning my independance and abilities. Once I helped pull a lady out of the sand at Virginia Beach, when she had sank almost up to her waist, waving her arms above her head, yelling for help, I was the first one to assist...someone's hero for the day =)
