About Me

Costarrican agronomy student. Passionate about people, agriculture and science. Currently making my internship in Brazil and traveling. Advocate of creating good habits, meditation and a having a simple life style.
Some of my hobbies are reading, exercising, sightseeing, walking around and experimenting food.
Even though I like nature´s landscapes in general, waterfalls are the ones that mesmerize me the most.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I´m on couchsurfing because it gives the opportunity to travel in a different way, where you can understand better the way of living and the mindset of people native to the place you are traveling.
For me one of the parts I enjoy the most of traveling is getting aware of the things I was wrong about certain places. And for me, the best way to do that is by actually living with people that actually live and are attached in a certain way with that place.

Music, Movies, and Books

About music I really enjoy latino dancing music (Salsa, merengue, bachata and cumbia), reggaeton, some genres of brazilian music (forró, sertanejo, funk) and Heavy metal mostly. But I usually like most of the music as long as it is good for dancing.
Books I enjoy mostly literature and bussiness/Self-improvement. Regarding literature. I read mostly latin-american novelists from the "boom latinoamericano" as Ernesto Sabato, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Julio Cortazar and so on. But I also like historic novels and police novels. Right now my favorite book is "Soldados de Salamina" by Javier Cercas. Regarding self-improvement books I read mostly soft skills related books. My favorite so far is "Essentialism: the disciplined pursuit of less" by Greg McKeown.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in different indigenous families for a week along with a Franciscan friar

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach the basics of which I consider the three main latino dances: merengue, salsa and bachata. I also love to learn different dancing styles.
I also love sharing deep conversations about relevant topics such as life plans, dreams, self compassion, ways to improve world's current situation and so on; but mostly I like to do the listening and the questions than arguing.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I know some recipes from Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Guatemala and Brazil. Besides of some theorical and practical knowledge in agriculture which might be helpful if trying to start an orchard.
