My name is Cassie, I'm an Australian currently travelling and working around Italy. I love getting to know other people and believe there's always something new I can learn from everyone that I meet.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Learning about other cultures, sharing insights and trying local cuisine is my favourite part about travelling/couchsurfing. I love that the CouchSurfing community gives me the opportunity to meet local people. It's a unique and diverse experience which I haven't found through any other platform.

Although at the moment I can't offer a couch, I am open to giving recommendations or showing people around my hometown, Adelaide.

Interests

My biggest passion by far is learning languages. I also love to read, draw, cook, salsa and dabble in musical instruments. My interests keep growing. I want to learn as much as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am pretty open to reading or watching anything! Living in Beijing has given me a newfound appreciation for live music, no matter the genre.
I tend to gravitate towards artists like the Arctic Monkeys, the Black Keys and Edward Sharpe but am always looking for music in new languages.

Currently, I'm reading 'Sapiens A Brief History of Humankind' by Yuval Noah Harari.

I can teach you a bit of English or Mandarin if you fancy. I'm also learning Italian and Cantonese and am always looking for opportunities to practice.
