ABOUT ME

Centar za mlade (Youth Centre) CŒakovec, is a volunteer, non-goverment, non-profit organisation which is run by a group of ambitious young people whose mission is to awaken the people (especially young people) of this small area to be a part of creating their own purpose, creatively engage in the organisation of all the events, to educate and occupy themselves through this experience, and also to interconnect with all the participants, and through that, to mature into more creative, tolerant and open minded people.

CeZam, with all the people willing to take part with their ideas, are organising music concerts of all types of alternative music (quality is what counts), providing a place to play for young unrecognised local and foreign bands, as well as well known bands. There are workshops where people willing to voulnteer, give lectures to all interested: musical lectures, drawing lectures, literary writing workshops, and many to come :).

We are gathering lecturers from all around to give interesting lectures about a great variety of topics, which contributes to the education of young people and also, development of their critical thinking with their participation in the discussion on the topic.

CeZam is enviromentally conscious and is trying to take care of nature as much as possible, also to show people, especially the young population, to take care of nature more, trough a more sustainable lifestyle.

All types of artistic expression we are happily sharing with others, and are eager to learn anything new from other people. We would be glad if you brought us something symbolic from your home land for us to have as a remembrance of your stay here - it could be a souvenir, an ornament for our space or any thing you want us to remember you by.
