I am a pretty easy going guy. I don’t blow up at people. I believe in life the best thing to do is what my mom always said “fake it till you make it” and you’ll be alright. If you just keep smiling eventually the inside is gonna catch up with the outside. At least it works that way for me.. I’ve been everything from a school teacher to airport security to an oilfield worker to a bartender. But I’ve done more of the latter than just about anything. I’ve learned a lot about people being on that side of the bar. I’ve always enjoyed doing it. It never felt like a job. Every night I went to the bar I felt like I was just hosting a party. In the last few years I have lost both my parents and a best friend to cancer. I really try to savor special moments with people in my life and those I encounter and make a connection with. I know how precious little time we have.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m a child of grunge. I love Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Sound Garden, Alice In Chains. So sad that so many of my hero’s are gone. I also like Weezer, Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, Janes Addiction, etc. I like newer stuff too like Portugal the Man, Anderson .Paak, Deer Tick, Heartless Bastards. Willie Nelson is a given. Who doesn’t love him? I just really love music. I still play around with a little garage band from time to time. Their all younger than me and way more talented.

I love movies! I trained as an actor but that was a long time ago. But I still love to see good storytelling by great actors. I won’t even get into naming favorites because there’s just too many of them..

Reading a book by Neil de Grasse Tyson right now. Trying to wrap my head around Astrophysics.

Well if my host enjoys a drink, I can make them a hell of a cocktail. I’m pretty handy in the kitchen as well. I also fancy myself a pretty good storyteller with the ability to make even the most serious person laugh.
