About Me

I just moved to the Southbay (of Los Angeles) almost 2 years ago. I am an engineer in an aerospace defense contracting company. I am hoping to meet other travelers with similar interests when the opportunity presents itself. There is no better way to maximize your experience being in an unfamiliar place than by receiving advice from a local.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about this site from a close friend of mine who also travels a lot. He spoke very highly of his experiences and suggested it to me when I was talking about my future traveling plans. I decided to check it out since I really like the idea and community behind it. I think everyone should have the opportunity to travel and see the world without the inhibiting factor of the lack of lodging or the expenses that can accumulate from it.

Interests

Aerial Acrobatics, hiking, snowboarding, dancing, photography, fine/performing arts, and anything outdoors.

I also really love food and try to cook when I am not lazy. I definitely live to eat, than eat to live. I find it to be an integral part of my traveling excursions actually. I am basically the happiest when I'm surrounded by nature or good food and good company.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went sky diving in St.Kilda beach in Melbourne, Australia when I was studying abroad. Can't beat the views you see when you are 14,000 ft in the air.

Teach, Learn, Share

I was taking aerial silks for over a year and know the stretching warm-up routines pretty well now. I can teach you which stretches to do for any tight muscle groups or how to use Trigger Point Therapy to relieve tension. I've taught 3 friends how to snowboard- I'm not an expert but can guide you through the basics. I love engineering and wouldn't mind nerding out about what I do for work. I've been in a few backpacking trips and can give advice on gear if you are interested in learning about how to get into the hobby :).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to try to host people some day but it is just kinda tricky with my current living situation (I rent out a room in a house so I don't think my roommates would be entirely comfortable with the idea of letting people I don't really know crash here). In the meantime, I can share insight about my life here in sunny California, good vibes, and of course return the favor of showing the host around my town if they ever decide to visit! The least I can do is share treats but if there are any requests of goodies you want me to pick up from the store here in the states, let me know! I love food and enjoy learning how to make dishes from different cultures but can share some of my recipes as well.

Countries I’ve Visited
